Dr. Michelle Harkins is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Pulmonary and Critical Care division. She is currently the co-director of the Adult Asthma Clinic at UNM. She coordinates the pulmonary telemedicine clinic and hopes to make an impact in the care for asthmatics throughout New Mexico. Currently clinics are held twice a month. Teleclinics include both educational presentations and opportunities for case presentations from primary care providers (PCPs) and school nurses. As part of our mission, we will coordinate training for individuals interested in becoming certified asthma educators so that they can go back to their communities to help monitor and care for asthmatics.
